Manorbier Castle is our flagship location and our focus for these events is on authenticity and luxury throughout. Returning for 2026.

We only host two to three tables of players for these events to ensure that our guests get a premium and historic playing experience and plenty of room and time to enjoy our location and activities, this event is particularly aimed at guests who want a blend of high intensity gameplay, with some chill down time and exciting activities.

No conference rooms or maxing out guest numbers here.

Our events are small, bespoke and above all - authentic. That authenticity stems from and is enhanced by our one of a kind location. A real 12th century castle, it’s inconvenient to get to, drafty and can only fit two to three tables of players… but we wouldn’t swap it for a chain hotel or hostel.

The Wychwood Room is a supremely comfortable twin room nestled within Castle House, our premium set of rooms within the castle walls.

This room is Michael's favourite for its charming views, comfy twin beds, luxury bedding and a décor that is so calming, cosy and tasteful it feels like it has come straight out of a C.S Lewis novel.  This booking is for the twin beds Wychwood Room however you will also have access to the common areas at Castle House including the living room, kitchen, WC, bathroom and castle grounds

Please note that you will be sharing a bathroom with one other room. Housekeeping is provided on a daily basis and breakfast is provided on site, with the option to have it delivered to your room

Michael's verdict: If Winnie the Pooh was a room, this would be it. The honey tones of the room and the simple white bed frames are somehow simultaneously both visually distinctive and so entirely natural as to make describing it accurately difficult, and forgetting it impossible.

The vibe is: "Nostalgia for a time I never experienced".

Looking out from the top of Castle House within the Castle walls, the Castle View room features plush twin beds, antique furniture and a commanding view of the castle grounds. 

Located at the top of Castle House, this room is a sanctuary of calm, with a minimalist décor that mixes the whites and greys of millennial modern with the warm natural wood tones and antique furniture that provide an ageless appeal.  

You will also have access to the common areas at Castle House including the living room, kitchen and castle grounds.

Please note that you will be sharing a bathroom with one other room. Housekeeping is provided on a daily basis and breakfast is provided on site, with the option to have it delivered to your room

Michael's verdict: Neutrality is underrated, if you are looking for a quiet, calm and collected space to retire to after a busy day of harassing goblins, then this might be the room for you. The views are worth the extra few steps and the whole room feels airy and chill. 

The vibe is: “Clean cotton air freshener, the room.”

The Phillips Room is a sumptuously comfortable double room with en-suite and with wonderful views of the Castle grounds. It is located in Castle House, within the Castle walls.

The Phillips room, is ideal for our guests who want to get that 'castle' feeling every morning. With views of the castle courtyard, waking up in the Phillips room means that you can relax knowing you are tucked away safe in a medieval stronghold. While benefiting from a well appointed en-suite, luxurious bedding and antique furnishings.

You will also have access to the common areas at Castle House including the living room, kitchen, WC, bathroom and castle grounds. Housekeeping is provided on a daily basis and breakfast will be provided on site, with the option to have it delivered to your room.

Michael's verdict: I don't know exactly who Phillip was, but he had good taste and the view of the courtyard walls makes this the castliest castle room in the castle... while still being as cosy as a book of watercolour paintings of ducks. The double bed is perfect if you are traveling as a couple, or are just on good terms with your companion... or why not book it for yourself and get a good sprawl going?

The vibe is: "Crisp and clean luxury meets ancient martial masonry."

The Dashwood Suite is our most enviable room with a King bed, period features, an en-suite bathroom and stunning views of the castle grounds. It is the grandest room in Castle House, within the Castle walls.

Vaulted ceilings, luxury en-suite, enough room to fit a very, very, very young Tarrasque, antique furniture that places perfectly so that even though you know you probably won't use it... you are glad it’s there.. all this and more in can be found in the Dashwood Suite. 

The bed is big and soft and the views are exceptional and unforgettable. You will also have access to the common areas at Castle House including the living room, kitchen and castle grounds.

Housekeeping is provided on a daily basis and breakfast is provided on site, with the option to have it delivered to your room

Michael's verdict: The biggest and fanciest room we offer, of all the benefits listed above the one that makes it most worth it to me is the view. Look out onto the castle grounds and you are lifted from luxurious opulence into the realm of history. The perfect view each morning to get you hyped for a day of adventure. 

The vibe is: "Holy crap I'm playing D&D in a real castle!"

Located just at the foot of the castle drive, Castle Lodge is a beautiful cottage that is less than a minutes walk from the castle and only 5 minutes walk to the beach. The lodge benefits two bedrooms, a large living room and its own garden.

Castle lodge sits at the top of the driveway down to the Castle. With lovely views of the castle and glimpses of the sea through the trees. This booking is for the Twin bed room in Castle Lodge.

A stone’s throw from the village the lodge is perfectly positioned to take advantage of the local walks and our stunning beach which is a 5 minute walk down the hill. 

You will also have access to common areas at the Lodge including the open plan lounge, diner and kitchen, which have a lovely flow with french doors out to the small garden wrapping around the house.  You can also use the common areas at the Castle.

Please note that you will be sharing a bathroom with one other room. Housekeeping is provided on a daily basis and breakfast is provided at the Castle.

If you are planning to attend as a large party, the Castle Chalet might be the best fit. With two twin beds and a bunker bed, it can easily fit a four-person group.

The Chalet is an ideal room for a group booking. Sleeping across two twin beds and two bunk beds. The Chalet features its own bathroom and is separate from Castle House, sharing a courtyard with the main house.  It is located within the Castle walls.

The Chalet, is ideal as a slightly more secluded area for a small group. 

For groups of 4 as standard. If you would like a quote for a larger group please get in touch. 

You will also have access to the common areas at Castle House including the living room, kitchen, WC, bathroom and castle grounds. Housekeeping is provided on a daily basis and breakfast will be provided on site.

Michael's verdict:It’s like going camping in a cabin, but it's in a castle...with a hot shower. 

The vibe is: "Medieval dorm room meets comfy chalet."
